Where It All Began
I'm Darren, a mix and mastering engineer with over 30 years of experience in the music industry. My journey started in the 1990s — the golden age of dance music — when I was DJing and fell completely in love with the way a record could move a room.
That obsession with sound led me deeper into the craft. I wanted to understand not just how to play music, but how it was made, shaped, and polished. Over the decades I've worked across genres — from dance and electronic to pop, singer-songwriter, and beyond — building the ears and the instincts that only come from years at the console.
Oak Tree Mastering is the culmination of that journey. It's where technical precision meets genuine passion for music — a place where your tracks get the care and attention they deserve.
